Old School

We got an old Jesse Bear book from the library the other day ("Guess who is coming Jesse Bear?") and on the first page there is a picture of an old corded phone ringing "off the hook."  Thomas looked at it and asked, "What is that?"  And when I said, "That is a phone," he didn't buy it.  Luckily, we have held onto a corded phone that I got from my first job in New York (and it looks exactly like the one in the book); I pulled it out of the closet to show Thomas what phones used to look like.  Ah, technology.
