Parenthood

We just had a little moment of pure parenthood.  Thomas and I were singing "Ring of Fire" with Michael helping me play guitar when Thomas starts to ask a lot of Why questions about the song.  I try to answer him the best I can and he says, "yeah, like how Johnny felt about June Carter."  I start to get a bit choked up simply because both boys are with me in that moment.  Then Mikey sneaks away and I am sitting there teary and Thomas is wondering why I am crying, and crash.  Mikey knocks over a plant and there is dirt everywhere.  And there it is:  Parenthood.
